יצירת קשר: Tomer Eliav and Vanessa Lapa

Albert Speer, Hitler’s closest confidant, chief architect and Minister of Armaments was responsible for 12 million slave laborers. Based on 40 hours of unpublished audio cassettes, the film features his callous attempt to whitewash his past with a 1971 Hollywood adaptation of his bestselling wartime memoir, “Inside the Third Reich”. The rare archival footage selected to illustrate his account offer us a chance to ponder whether this eloquent but ultimately self-serving narcissist was recording history or recording his story? A cautionary tale of how media such as film can be easily manipulated to shape the way that history is remembered.
