One Picture and a Song

English For my father Yitzhak’s 80th birthday, I offer two gifts: a picture and a song. A Holocaust survivor who dedicated his life to remembrance, he holds just one remnant of his father—a photo where my grandfather’s eyes are hidden. My attempt to reveal that lost gaze sparks an intimate conversation about the unspoken. Meanwhile, an original song gives voice to my father’s unfulfilled dreams. Bridging four generations—my grandfather, my father, me, and my son Yair—this film portrays a man who, despite the past, chooses to embrace the present with love and inspiring optimism.
