Travels Of a Duck

The late Dudu Geva took Israeli commercial print journalism to its most artistic, for as long as it could afford to go there. When the press killed off Geva’s duck, it’s creator’s days too were numbered. As befitting a documentary about Israel’s pioneering, foremost comics artist, the film consists entirely of strips and drawings, which are infiltrated by real-life characters: friends, colleagues, family and fans come face to face in the comic strips with Geva’s invented characters: Ahalan and Sahalan, Yosef the clerk, the duck, Zik the knight and others.
