Looking closely at the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, we examines the narratives and points of view of both sides. Combining unique visual materials and high-level interviews with various researchers, Anat and Modi go back to the roots of the conflict and recreate its collision course, from the Balfour Declaration – “the deal of [another] century” – to the war which formed and fixed the conflict as we know it today: the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. What is it about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict which makes it endless? Is what happened so unforgivable and insolvable? These are the questions that Tangled Roots tries to answer.
